A community housing co-operative
Phoenix is a fully-mutual Housing Co-operative, founded in 1980 and governed by its tenant members.
Phoenix’s main aim is to provide homes for those who are single, in housing need and otherwise unable to afford it.
In addition, Phoenix helps and encourages the building of a community where its members can learn new skills and develop friendships.
Our ethos of self-help and co-operation has provided the framework for Phoenix members to undertake several refurbishment projects – this has led to greater sustainability and stability for the coop as a whole and to the development of new partner organisations.
The Phoenix community also organises social events, produces a regular newsletter and gets involved in a range of projects. This website, for example, is conceived and maintained by the membership.
If you would like to work with us or, if you own or know of properties that are currently empty across London, please contact the Phoenix office.
